Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Benfica defender.

The addition of a top class centre-back will surely feature highly on Arsene Wenger’s agenda this summer, with Per Mertesacker set to retire and Laurent Koscielny six months away from turning 33.

The north London outfit have often been criticised for their defensive frailties over the past few years, and Wenger must address those issues if he is to guide his side to a successful campaign next term.
Portuguese publication claim that the Frenchman has identified Benfica’s Ruben Dias as one of his key transfer targets, although he will have to fork out £34.9 million if he wants to sign the 20-year-old.

Standing at just under 6ft 2in tall, Dias possesses an imposing physique, and is very strong in the air, as well as being quick along the ground.
The Portuguese ace surely has a wonderful career ahead of him, and he could prove to be a wonderful acquisition for Arsenal, if they do indeed manage to sign him in the summer.
