Arsenal view Wilfried Zaha as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, and will launch a bid for the Crystal Palace ace regularly linked with Tottenham Hostpur.

The Sun reports that Sanchez is likely to leave the Emirates in the coming months – whether that be at the end of his contract next summer or during the January transfer window – and Zaha has been earmarked as a potential replacement for the Chilean.

Though Zaha is currently playing for the Premier League’s bottom side, the Eagles’ position would undoubtedly be a lot worse if it was not for the winger’s return from injury.
The former Manchester United man scored the winner in the victory over Chelsea and the last-gasp equaliser against West Ham – and The Sun reports that Palace are now resigned to having to deal with offers despite Zaha signing a new five-year deal in the summer.

The Sun adds that Zaha – a long-time target for the Gunners’ rivals Tottenham – will be the subject of a £35 million bid from Arsenal, so it will be interesting to see whether that sparks Spurs into life and opens up a bidding war between the North London rivals.
With Arsenal and Tottenham interested, it undoubtedly puts Palace in a difficult position as, with Zaha clearly their best player this season, Roy Hodgson will undoubtedly need the wide-man to maintain his best form to give them a chance of survival – but the form required to give Palace some hope will surely only see the interest in him intensify ahead of January.
