According to El Futbolero in Peru, Arsenal are offering a trial to Peruvian teenager Aron Sanchez ahead of a possible move.

It’s claimed that Sanchez has caught the attention of Arsenal and may now head to North London for a trial.

Sanchez is seemingly seen as a real talent for the future, and Arsenal want to take a close look at him before offering a deal.

Who is Arsenal target Aron Sanchez?

Sanchez is just 18, and currently plays for AD Cantolao in the Peruvian top tier.

Primarily a centre back, Sanchez has played every minute for Cantolao this season and even made his debut at the age of just 16.

In 29 first-team games for Cantolao, Sanchez actually has an impressive attacking record, boasting four goals and one assist.

Arsenal have plenty of young defenders

Even if you put aside the expensive addition of William Saliba in 2019, Arsenal have plenty of young centre backs attempting to break through.

Daniel Ballard and Mark McGuinness fit that bill, with Harry Clarke and recent signing Omar Rekik also in the ranks.

Sanchez will now get the chance to prove that he is worthy of being in the Arsenal ranks too, with Per Mertesacker and co casting their net far and wide in the search of young talent.
