According to The Star, Arsenal are expected to submit a bid for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale once EURO 2020 is over.
What’s the story?
Well, the Gunners have expressed interest in the 23-year-old, and they are now set to firm up that interest with an offer.
The Star believe Arsenal’s offer will fall short of Sheffield United’s £40 million valuation.
However, the report claims that Edu feels it’ll be a bid which makes the Blades seriously consider cashing in on their No.1.
Sheffield United re-signed Ramsdale for just £18.5 million back in August, after he suffered relegation with Bournemouth.
The Star are claiming that Mikel Arteta’s employers have told Sheffield United they’re likely to make an offer once EURO 2020 is over.
If this is true, it will be interesting to see how others also interested in Ramsdale will react.
Who else wants Aaron Ramsdale?

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham and Wolves are also interested in the shot-stopper, who is part of Gareth Southgate’s EURO 2020 squad.
Despite suffering back-to-back relegations, Ramsdale is a bright goalkeeping prospect, who has been let down by his backline in recent years.
Last season, he kept just five clean sheets in 38 Premier League appearances.

However, what the statistics don’t show is the amount of quality, eye-catching saves made by the Chesterton-born glovesman.
On that basis, one would assume he’ll look more impressive in between the sticks while playing for a better side.
