According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are threatening to hijack West Ham United’s bid for Carlos Bacca.
The Gunners are known to be targeting a striker this summer after watching Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott struggle for consistency last season.
They had targeted Jamie Vardy before the start of Euro 2016, but the England striker opted to stay with Premier League champions Leicester City.

They have been linked with a series of other strikers since then; such as Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain.
However, they have failed to agree a deal for either as yet, and it seems they may have turned their attention elsewhere.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that they are now threatening to hijack West Ham’s on-going negotiations with Bacca and sign the player for themselves.

The Hammers have been in talks to sign the Colombia star for several weeks, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting earlier this week they were close to agreeing personal terms with him.
However, they could be set to miss out of if Arsenal’s interest is genuine. The player has openly talked of his desire to play for a team in the Champions League, an incentive that the Gunners can offer and Slaven Bilic’s side cannot.
