Arsenal target Kays Ruiz-Atil has rejected the offer of a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain as he is concerned about a lack of opportunities at the Ligue 1 champions, according to Le Parisien.
And who can blame a young midfielder who has already worn the colours of both Barcelona and PSG in his short career?
Esteemed talents such as Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Dembele, Kingsley Coman and Boubakary Soumare were forced to leave the Parc des Princes to get the exposure they needed and speculation suggests that Ruiz-Atil could follow in the footsteps of Matteo Guendouzi by swapping the French capital for it’s English equivalent.
FootMercato claim that Arsenal have their sights set on another fresh-faced wonderkid, perhaps inspired by the rapid rise of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Guendouzi himself at the Emirates.
If Ruiz-Atil feels that his development will be stunted at PSG, a playmaker with dazzling technical ability should be far more confident of being handed an opportunity under Mikel Arteta.

As it stands, it seems increasingly likely that a club who have won the Ligue 1 title for the last nine seasons will have to part ways with one of their most exciting prospects sooner rather than later.
Le Parisien reports that Ruiz-Atil, who will become a free agent next summer, has turned down the opportunity to sign fresh terms until the summer of 2024. This comes after Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, refused to hand him the opportunity to train with Thomas Tuchel’s first-team squad after a personal request from the young midfielder.
“If PSG doesn’t want me to train with the pros, there are other clubs. It will not end at PSG,” Ruiz-Atil said on Instagram last month.
It certainly won’t. Just look at Guendouzi.
