PSG are eyeing LOSC Lille star Jonathan David as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, with the Canadian also a target for Arsenal this summer.
According to Le 10 Sport, the French giants are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old striker as PSG put in to place contingency plans for if Mbappe leaves the club at the end of his contract.
The striker, who signed for PSG for an outrageous £166m in 2017 according to Sky Sports News, is expected to leave Paris this summer. However, reports in recent weeks suggest that Mbappe could remain in the French capital, with the Independent reporting that a ludicrous £1m-a-week contract is on the table.
If Mbappe is to leave, though, Lille’s David could be an option to replace the France international at PSG, which could spell trouble for Arsenal’s interest in the former KAA Gent superstar.
As per the Athletic, the Brooklyn-born attacker is one of the few options on Arsenal’s shortlist for a new striker this summer. However, David is realistically the easiest option for the Gunners to land in the transfer market.
With Lille needing to sell and David’s price tag the lowest out of the likes of Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Canadian could be perfect for Arsenal if they can now beat PSG to the forward’s signature.

Whilst Arsenal would be a step-up for David if he was to leave Lille, there’s no denying that the opportunity to play for PSG will be a huge one for the youngster, especially if they go far in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The French giants are making strong efforts to win Europe’s greatest price, and David could play a role for PSG if Mbappe is to leave this summer, which could leave Arsenal out in the cold over the Canadian superstar.
