West Ham United’s Domingos Quina is reportedly wanted by Arsenal.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are interested in signing West Ham United teenager Domingos Quina, having missed out on him last summer.

The Hammers swooped to land Quina from Chelsea in a shock move last summer, with fans excited to see the teenager develop in East London.

Formerly of Benfica, the Portugal Under-19 international featured prominently for West Ham’s development squad, and whilst he was named on the bench for the first team on a number of occasions, he made just two first-team appearances.

The 17-year-old is expected to have a big future, and whilst West Ham hope that he will be with the club for the foreseeable future, a Premier League rival appears to be lurking.

Sky Sports report that Arsenal are interested in signing Quina this summer having been impressed with his displays for Portugal at the Under-19 European Championships in Georgia.

It’s claimed that Arsenal wanted to sign Quina from Chelsea last summer, but he rejected their contract offer in order to sign for West Ham instead.

First-team opportunities may be more available at West Ham than they are at Arsenal, meaning that the Hammers may still be confident of keeping the playmaker at the London Stadium.

However, Arsene Wenger’s renewed interest in Quina will still be a concern for the Hammers, who will want to build the teenager into a first-team star over the coming years.
