According to Calciomercato, Red Bull Salzburg playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai has decided on a move to AC Milan.
It’s claimed that Szoboszlai will leave Austria this summer. He has interest from a number of clubs, but appears to have made his choice.
Szoboszlai wants to follow Ralf Rangnick to Milan, according to this report. The German looks set to become Milan’s new boss, and he has a great knowledge of Szoboszlai.
Rangnick’s current job is head of sport and development for Red Bull. That means he oversees Salzburg, RB Leipzig and New York Red Bulls, but now looks set to go back into coaching.
The deal for Szoboszlai could reach €25million (£22million). With five goals and 11 assists this season, the 19-year-old has proven his quality this season.
Recent reports from Goal suggested that Arsenal wanted to sign Szoboszlai this summer. Borussia Dortmund, Lazio and Inter Milan were also linked in that report.

It may well be the case that the global pandemic has hit Arsenal’s ability to move for the Hungarian. Arsenal’s budget will have been hit, making cash signings a little difficult.
Arsenal may not have £22million to spend on Szoboszlai right now, even if he could be a fine heir to Mesut Ozil. It looks like they have missed out on the teenager now, with a move to Milan his preference – leaving Arsenal to go back to the drawing board.
