The Telegraph are reporting this afternoon that Arsenal remain in talks with Chelsea over signing Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window despite their initial bid being rejected.
The report has claimed that “talks are understood to be advancing quickly” between Arsenal and Chelsea over Havertz, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder.
Bayern Munich are interested in the £75.8 million (Sky Sports) Germany international, but the Bundesliga champions now expect the 24-year-old to stay in the Premier League, according to the report.

In our view, it now looks very likely that Arsenal will be able to sign Kai Havertz from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
There is already speculation that Havertz wants to join Arsenal and has told Chelsea so.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and the club’s Sporting Director Edu reportedly believe that the forward is perfect for the Gunners’ attack.
If Havertz himself wants to join Arsenal and the Gunners are actively trying to get a deal with Chelsea, then it is only a matter of time before the two London clubs come to an agreement over a transfer fee.
