But the Mirror say that the Gabonese international is not set to be part of Arsenal’s squad.
That looks like a blow to the Gunners, as Aubameyang had just started to hit form.
The 31-year-old striker scored twice in Arsenal’s recent game against Newcastle United, as he looked back to his sharp best.
Without Aubameyang Arsenal’s attacking threat is reduced, as he remains their most potent goal threat.
His absence could mean that Gabriel Martinelli comes into Mikel Arteta’s side from the off, though.
Arsenal saw how tough beating Southampton will be tonight at the weekend, as they were beaten 1-0 by Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, and they will be desperate to avoid a repeat scoreline later.
