According to Marca, Arsenal fancy Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan but the La Liga side view him as absolutely untouchable right now.
Jordan, 26, racked up six assists in La Liga last season, but still wasn’t able to break into Spain’s squad for the Euros.
Sevilla absolutely love him though, and the lan is for him to sit down with Sevilla and discuss a new contract despite Arsenal wanting him.
Arsenal’s interest in Jordan started in December
The Gunners were linked with Jordan back in January as The Sun reported that Mikel Arteta was keen on a deal.
No move materialised in January, with Sevilla seeking a fee north of £30million but not quite at his release clause of €60million (£52million).
Jordan was allegedly interested in a move to Arsenal at the time, but that doesn’t seem to be on his mind right now…

Jordan – a future captain?
It’s stated that Jordan is completely untouchable under Julen Lopetegui and will not be sold despite Arsenal’s lingering interest.
The report even notes that Jordan is only thinking about staying with Sevilla, who view him as a future captain of the club.
Put all that together and it’s hard to see Arsenal pulling off a deal for Jordan this summer, who could have been a replacement for Granit Xhaka.
