Arsenal are stepping up their chase of Julian Draxler, according to Fussball Transfers in Germany.

Arsenal have been linked with Draxler for a number of years now, and it seems that this summer could finally be the time when the German international makes the move to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s side are now lining up a a move for the PSG star, who is said to be ‘likely’ to leave the French champions in the coming months.

Arsenal are now believed to have requested information on Draxler, with Arteta keen to do their scouting work on the £30 million play-maker (Goal).

Draxler has struggled for appearances this term, with PSG preferring other options from their collection of attacking talents.

At Arsenal Draxler would surely immediately become a key player, and he could well be lined up as a replacement for Mesut Ozil.

The Gunners are thought to be keen to offload Ozil, as he is on such a large contract.

Arsenal are working on a limited budget, but clearing Ozil’s salary off their wage bill would give them more freedom to bring in new players.
