Mundo Deportivo previously claimed that Inter Milan had lined up Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette as a replacement to Barcelona bound Lautaro Martinez this summer.
The Frenchman hasn’t quite had the best of seasons at the Emirates. Lacazette was even benched for young Eddie Nketiah in Arsenal’s last few games, which was a big surprise.
Arsenal fans didn’t really seem concerned when reports over Inter Milan’s interest in their number nine emerged. Most supporters were happy to let Lacazette leave if it meant that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stayed at the club.
However, it now seems like Lacazette will stay at the Emirates beyond the end of this summer’s transfer window.
FC Inter News have claimed that Antonio Conte’s side don’t really have Lacazette on their wishlist now. The Nerazzurri are looking to bring in Edin Dzeko from Roma, who remains their first choice for this summer.
The former Manchester City man, now 34, will be a lot cheaper than Lacazette and his familiarity in the Serie A makes him a clear favourite over the Arsenal man for Inter Milan this summer.

It will be interesting see what happens with Lacazette this summer. The former Lyon man, on his day, is a real asset for Arsenal but his consistency is the real concern.
Eddie Nketiah, who replaced him in the starting line-up in the last few league games, scored a hat-trick in Arsenal’s latest friendly.
Lacazette too scored a brilliant goal in the game but if just goals are what matters, Nketiah might just deserve to keep his place when the league restarts in a few days times.
