Some Arsenal staff believe that Granit Xhaka could yet feature again this season, according to the Daily Mail

Xhaka was stretchered off in Arsenal’s first game after the restart against Manchester City, after damaging his ankle.

There were fears that the Switzerland international could miss the rest of the campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side.

However, some Arsenal staff think that Xhaka could yet play again for the Gunners before the season finishes, and that would be a major boost.

Xhaka has been a key player since Mikel Arteta took over, and is arguably Arsenal’s most reliable central midfielder at present.

The Gunners put in an extremely poor display against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, as they crashed to a 2-1 defeat.

Matteo Guendouzi and Dani Ceballos both struggled on the south coast, with Xhaka’s absence sorely felt by Arsenal.

Arsenal have had a miserable time with injuries since the restart with Xhaka, Pablo Mari and Bernd Leno all picking up serious problems.
