According to 90min, Arsenal, Tottenham and Leeds were all keen to sign Solly March, although he now looks set to stay at Brighton.

What’s the story?

Well, 90min believe that Newcastle, Burnley, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig were also keen on the 27-year-old.

However, there’s an issue for those interested in the Englishman.

90min believe Brighton have convinced March to sign a new contract at the Amex Stadium.

It was crucial for the Seagulls to wrap this up now, as the man from Eastbourne was entering the final year of his contract.

March enjoyed an impressive 2020/21 campaign on the south coast.

His form was so eye-catching that Gareth Southgate even considered him for a place in England’s EURO 2020 squad, according to 90min.

In Arsenal, Tottenham, Leeds, Newcastle or Burnley’s case, March would’ve been a great addition.

Brighton’s No.20 has spent his entire career with the Seagulls, and has played almost all over the pitch.

As Transfermarkt shows, the man with 111 Premier League appearances has literally played everywhere but centre-back, right-back and in goal for Brighton.

He hasn’t played as an out-and-out centre-forward either, but Transfermarkt shows he’s played as a second striker, which is interesting.

Sadly for the aforementioned five Premier League clubs, it looks like March will be staying by the seaside – for now at least.
