Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing the RB Leipzig ace.

According to German media outlet Bild, Arsenal are lining up a summer swoop for RB Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann, as Unai Emery looks to continue his rebuild at the Emirates.

The Spaniard has a lot of work to do in north London, if he is to oversee the Gunners’ return to the top of the game, and defence is obviously an area where he believes he needs to strengthen this summer.

German publication Bild claim that Arsenal see Klostermann as the ideal summer signing, and will test Leipzig’s resolve by making a bid for the 22-year-old defender.

Good signing for the Gunners?

The Germany under-21 international can play anywhere along the back-line, although he is most comfortable when deployed in the right-back position.

Klostermann is an able defender, and plays in a similar style to that of Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, with his energy and stamina enabling him to cover the right hand flank for the entirety of the 90 minutes.

His versatility could prove to be vital to Arsenal, what with their ageing back-line, and bringing the young German to the Emirates would stand them in great stead ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
