Alexis Sanchez has one year left on his deal at Arsenal, and the Gunners are bracing themselves to potentially cash in.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez
A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Arsenal will only accept bids of at least £50 million if they decide to try and cash in on Alexis Sanchez this summer.
The Mirror reports that the Chilean is only under contract at the Emirates until the end of next season, and while talks have taken place over fresh terms, it appears that no agreement is currently in sight.
According to the Mirror, Sanchez earns £130,000 a week on his current deal, but wants to see his weekly salary more than doubled to something like the £300,000 a week mark.
If an agreement cannot be reached then the Gunners will consider sanctioning a move. And while Arsene Wenger does not want to sell to a title rival, the Mirror reports that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on the 28-year-old’s situation at the Emirates.

It is arguably a dangerous game for Arsenal to demand so much for Sanchez if they are certain that there is no chance that he will be at the club beyond the end of next season.
Any interested club will know that they can take a gamble and hold off trying to sign him next summer when he will be available on a free rather than pay the staggering amount Arsenal would want at the end of this season.
