Arsenal are reportedly keen on Gremio’s Walter Kannemann.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in signing Gremio defender Walter Kannemann for just £10.2million.
The Gunners may have signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos last summer, but another experienced centre back could be snapped up by Unai Emery.
A naturally left-sided centre back would be ideal to bring some balance to the Arsenal back four, and an intriguing option has been put forward.
The Daily Mail claim that Arsenal are keen on Gremio star Kannemann, having been impressed with his displays for the Brazilian outfit.
The 28-year-old has been dubbed ‘The Viking’ for his robust defending style; he’s strong dominant in the air and takes no prisoners, but he also has a decent turn of pace.
With a £10.2million asking price, Kannemann wouldn’t break the bank, and having emerged as an Argentinian international over the last seven months, it’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest.

It’s added that Atletico Madrid are also keen, as Diego Simeone is a big fan of Kannemann having coached him during their time together at San Lorenzo in Argentina.
Arsenal may need to move quickly if they want Kannemann then, who could be a low-cost option to bolster Emery’s defensive options this summer.
