Arsenal might be interested in a one-time Tottenham Hotspur target.

As if losing to Arsenal wasn’t bad enough, now Tottenham Hotspur must suffer the indignation of seeing their bitter local rivals take interest in a player who they wanted 18 months ago.
The Gunners beat Tottenham 4-2 in Sunday’s North London derby at the Emirates, and then had scouts watching a certain Cengiz Under shortly after the win.
According to Gazetta Dello Sport, Arsenal had representatives in attendance as Under’s Roma drew 2-2 with Inter Milan.
If true, the scouts would have left impressed, with the Turkish sensation scoring a wonderful second-half equaliser for the Giallorossi.
News of Arsenal’s apparent presence won’t be welcome by Spurs, who were heavily linked with the 21-year-old back in 2017.
Ajansspor reported that Tottenham had struck a deal with Basaksehir, but Under later revealed to The Guardian that Roma Sporting Director Monchi convinced him to reject all other offers to join the Italian giants.
There’s no evidence that Arsenal want to sign the youngster in January, but it might just sting those on the white half of North London if it were to happen.
Under, valued at around £50 million [CIES], is contracted to Roma until 2022.
