Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian teenager.
According to a report from Blogosfera, Arsenal are interested in signing Brazilian teenager Eric dos Santos Rodrigues, also known as Ramires, and have scouted the exciting young talent six times already.
Ramires currently plays for Brazilian side Bahia, and has really impressed this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions thus far.
The 18-year-old is a deep-lying central midfielder by trade, and possesses a certain type of tenacious quality that makes him ideally suited to the robust nature of the Premier League.
According to Blogosfera, Arsenal have scouted Ramires six times already, but the Gunners will face competition from La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
The Brazilian media outlet claim that he is likely to leave Bahia in January, and his most likely destination is Arsenal.
Ramires would add more aggression and tenacity to the Gunners’ midfield, and those of an optimistic persuasion will believe that he can go on and emulate his fellow countryman Gilberto Silva at the Emirates.
