The Hammers are in the hunt for a left-back after Aaron Cresswell’s long-term injury.

According to the London Evening Standard, Arsenal have turned down a loan bid from West Ham United for Kieran Gibbs.
The Hammers are in need of a left-back this summer after Aaron Cresswell was ruled out for four months with a knee injury during pre-season.
It is believed that Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is targeting an experienced full-back to fill in the position rather than a youngster.

Several names have been linked as potential targets and it appears that Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs is among them.
According to the London Evening Standard he was a prime target for the Hammers but Arsene Wenger’s side rejected their initial loan bid.
Gibbs has lost his first-team place to Nacho Monreal in the last two seasons, but it appears that the Gunners have no intention of letting him go to their rivals.

The Hammers are now set to turn their attention elsewhere with Norwich City firmly in their sights.
Martin Olsson is a potential target while Robbie Brady is another player of interest to them.
Two other options are Hull City’s Andrew Robertson and Sweden defender Ludwig Augustinsson according to the report.
