According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal have rejected Sheffield United’s £3million bid for striker Folarin Balogun.
It’s claimed that the Blades offered £3million plus add-ons for Balogun, and that fell ‘dramatically’ short of the asking price.
Arsenal allegedly want a structured deal with around £15million for Balogun, meaning Sheffield United only offered one fifth of the demanded fee.
Balogun has turned down a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, and is currently set to leave the club at the end of the season when his deal expires.
As things stand, Balogun can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in Germany, leaving Arsenal well out of pocket.
AC Milan, Brighton and Southampton are also keen, whilst Brentford failed with a £5million bid in January – and Sheffield United have now failed too.

The 19-year-old would likely earn more first-team opportunities at Sheffield United, but they will have severely increase their bid to get anywhere close to a deal.
Arsenal may still hold out hope that the American-born striker – who scored 10 goals in 15 Premier League 2 games last season – will commit his future to the club, but they’re running the risk of losing him for next to nothing.
