Arsenal have a massive game against Manchester United this weekend.
Not only could the Gunners do the double over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side – whom they beat 1-0 earlier in the season – but victory may also propel them to within two points of the top four, depending on other results.
Given that Arsenal were 15th only a month ago, it’s quite a turnaround by Mikel Arteta, whose side are now eighth.
United are challenging for the Premier League title right now and there’s no denying that Saturday is a big test, but Arteta could have a major injury boost ahead of the game.
Kieran Tierney sat out Tuesday’s win over Southampton and was omitted from the same fixture in the FA Cup four days earlier
But according to Football London, the 23-year-old defender – who was involved in full training at London Colney today – is confident that he’ll be fit to face the Red Devils.
This, if true, is huge for the North Londoners.
Tierney has arguably been Arsenal’s best player this season and no other player has created more goalscoring chances for his team, despite the former Celtic star being a left-back.
There’s no denying that the hosts’ chances of victory increase in a big way if he starts and, according to the report, that’s a very probable scenario.
