Arsenal target Christian Makoun is set to join Italian giants Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to Gianlucadimarzio.com.

It has been reported that Italian giants Juventus are on the verge of securing the services of Makoun despite interest from Premier League side Arsenal and Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old Venezuela Under-20 international defensive midfielder has reportedly undergone a medical at Juventus.

Disappointment for Arsenal?

Makoun is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and the Venezuelan teenager would have been a good long-term signing for Arsenal.

While it would have been hard for the youngster to break into the Gunners’ first team next season, the 18-year-old would have turned on the stye for the senior side in the upcoming years.

Madrid will also be disappointed that they have reportedly missed out on the defensive midfielder, although the Spanish and European giants will probably make a move for Makoun in the coming years if he is successful at Juventus.

Juventus have also signed former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo from Madrid in the summer transfer window.
