Danny Welbeck could not make a huge impact at Manchester United, and the England international forward has struggled at Arsenal as well.

As reported by BBC Sport, Welbeck scored 29 goals in 142 appearances in all competitions for United before joining Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2014 for £16 million.

The 27-year-old forward has had injury issues during his time at the Gunners so far and is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.

Arsenal to sell

There is no surprise then that the North London club reportedly want to sell Welbeck, with Everton claimed to be interested.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are ready to sell Welbeck in the summer transfer window.

The British tabloid has also reported that Everton are considering making a £15m move for the 27-year-old England international forward, who earns £125,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

No need at Everton

It has also been claimed that Everton manager Marco Silva will make a move for Welbeck only if he fails with a £36m bid for Bordeaux winger Malcom – and Arsenal’s reported willingness to sell the attacker is a potential boost for the Toffees.

While it would make sense for Arsenal to offload Welbeck and get a decent transfer fee for him, Everton do not need the Englishman as they have better attacking players than him.
