The Dundee Courier has reported that Arsenal, Rangers and Celtic are all interested in signing Dundee teenager Luke Graham, as he continues to impress at Perth. He is currently on trial at Sheffield United, this week.
Graham, 18, arrived at Sheffield United on Monday morning where he will spend the week. It comes after playing for Scottish minnows Lochee United on Saturday, during a 6-0 win over Letham away from home.
At the game, were scouts from Arsenal, Celtic and Rangers to watch the Dundee kid. The youngster has only just turned 18, and is yet to make his senior debut but Dundee look as though they could lose the teen already.
The report states that his physique, and his ball-playing ability as a centre-back has caught the attention of Rangers, Celtic and Arsenal – as well as Sheffield United who could choose to sign the teenager this week.
Graham race: Arsenal, Celtic or Rangers for Scottish teenager?
What Graham must consider carefully when choosing his next club, if he is to leave Dundee, is which both suits his style – and gives him an achievable pathway to the first team. Ange Postecoglou certainly would.
Chris Jullien, Stephen Welsh, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt are the current first-team options. But Graham would easily start for the reserves. Welsh could leave, while Carter-Vickers is only on loan at Celtic.
Rangers have an ageing defence in Filip Helander and Leon Balogun. Calvin Bassey is better at left-back and Connor Goldson is set to leave in June when his contract ends. John Souttar is coming in, but there is space to work.
