According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal are keen on signing Leicester City ace Wilfred Ndidi in the summer, and have already made contact with the Foxes over the possibility of luring him to the Emirates.

The 21-year-old moved to the King Power Stadium from Genk in January 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £14 million, and he has really impressed since then.

Ndidi is a defensive midfielder by trade, but can also operate in the central defensive position.

The Nigeria international is a bag full of energy, and plays with a certain kind of enthusiasm and endeavour that is akin to Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante.

The Daily Mail claim that the north Londoners have contacted the Foxes over the possibility of bringing the midfielder to the Emirates in the summer.

He would be a wonderful signing for the Gunners, and would add some much needed bite and athleticism to Arsene Wenger’s engine room.

Ndidi is still under contract with Leicester until the summer of 2022, so he certainly won’t come cheap, but Arsenal should not hesitate to meet the Foxes’ demands.

The 21-year-old is already vastly experienced, despite his tender years, and the quality that he possesses could prove to be the missing piece of the puzzle for the Gunners.
