Arsenal’s Rob Holding faces a scan on his injury problem later today, the Daily Mail suggest.

Holding was all set to start for Arsenal on Saturday evening, but picked up a problem in the warm-up.

The central defender had to be replaced by David Luiz before Arsenal’s game against Manchester City kicked off.

There are now concerns about just how long Holding could be out for.

And Arsenal plan to get to the bottom of the English defender’s problems by sending him for a scan today.

Arsenal will be hoping that Holding’s problem is nothing serious and he can recover quickly.

Holding looked set to leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but he has fought his way back into contention and has been a regular starter for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.

If Holding is out for the long-term, it could leave Arsenal’s options looking short at the back, and with the games coming thick and fast, Arteta will hope that Holding is available sooner rather than later.
