Quite a few Arsenal players didn’t really cover themselves in glory on Sunday.

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at the Emirates Stadium and considering that the hosts needed a 98th-minute equaliser from Eddie Nketiah, you could argue that Mikel Arteta’s side struggled – and they did.

There was so much wrong with the Gunners’ performance and a lack of adventure was evident in a number of home stars.

But this particularly applied to Mohamed Elneny in midfield.

There was one moment in the 12th minute where Elneny, in an acre of space, chose to pass backwards instead of trying to build an attack and it summed up Arsenal on the day.

And according to Football London, Elneny got it in the neck from team-mate Alexandre Lacazette over that specific pass.

The report claims that Lacazette was ‘screaming’ Elneny’s name and angrily gesticulated to convey his frustration.

The Egypt international went off for Thomas Partey with a little over 20 minutes to go and although the former Atletico Madrid powerhouse didn’t do much, Arsenal still looked better with him than Elneny.
