Give Me Sport claim that Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe is on Newcastle United’s summer transfer list, with the Ivory Coast international seen as ‘attainable’. Pepe is expected to leave the Gunners in the coming weeks.
Pepe, 27, has not lived up to his enormous £72million price tag when Arsenal convinced him to join The Gunners from Lille three years ago. Nevertheless, he has still managed 48 goal involvements in 112 Arsenal outings.
But his exit is inevitable this summer. Pepe failed to start a Premier League match for Arsenal from October 18 onwards, starting just five league games all season. Reports say Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Pepe.

A player branded “terrific” by Mikel Arteta, Pepe could consider a move to another Premier League club. He has a contract at Arsenal until 2024. The Toon also have Ismaila Sarr, Jack Harrison and Moussa Diaby on their list.
Arsenal winger Pepe is on Newcastle transfer list
If Newcastle’s pre-season matches against 1860 Munich and Mainz in Austria have taught us anything, is that Eddie Howe’s side need a winger. Allan Saint-Maximin needs someone on the right as good as him.
Pepe, at his best, is clearly worth a whole lot more than he is showing at Arsenal. The Gunners smashed their club-record transfer fee to get him for a reason. But he needs the stage to shine, and The Emirates is not currently that.
A move to Tyneside would give him the required platform to sparkle – to reinvent his career. It could all depend on how much Arsenal want for Pepe. While they must accept a loss, how much will they actually consider losing?
