Pablo Mari is now back running in Arsenal training and has even joined in with some ball work, the London Evening Standard report.
Mari has not featured for Arsenal since June after damaging his ankle, but he is getting close to making a return now.
The report claims that he should be back in full training with the Gunners within the next two weeks, which will be a timely boost for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal are struggling at the back with Rob Holding out injured and David Luiz suffering a knock last night.
And Mari may well be required to step into Arsenal’s backline sooner rather than later upon his return.

While he will still have to develop his match sharpness, the news that he is now working with the ball at his feet and his capable of running is very positive.
When Mari does return to full fitness he could well partner Gabriel in the heart of Arsenal’s defence, if Luiz’s injury problem does keep him out for the long-term.
