Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has missed out on three transfer moves this summer, but finally looks set to make a switch to Hertha Berlin, the Daily Mirror suggest.

Roma, Villarreal and Marseille have all unsuccessfully tried to sign Guendouzi this summer, but Hertha Berlin look set to get a deal over the line.

The young Frenchman is expected to leave Arsenal later today to join the Bundesliga side on a loan move.

Arsenal had hoped to bring in a big fee for Guendouzi, but no club has been prepared to pay up.

Rather than keeping him around the Gunners have decided to shipping Guendouzi out to a side where he should play regularly is their best option.

Arteta does not appear to view Guendouzi as part of his first-team squad any more, despite wanting more options in midfield.

And Guendouzi could be the first to leave Arsenal, on what looks set to be a busy deadline day for the North London side.
