Arsenal plan to make several ‘significant’ signings this summer, the Athletic report.

Arsenal are plotting plenty of moves already, with the Gunners seemingly set to be one of the most active clubs in the Premier League this season.

Indeed, the Athletic report that Arsenal are expected to make plenty of signings, which could all prove costly.

That comes as an exciting update, considering Arsenal went into the summer with some money worries.

But it seems that Mikel Arteta and Edu’s plan to raise funds by selling players, and all that money will be reinvested into the squad.

That means that Arsenal may be able to afford the £50 million fee to sign Ben White, while Albert Sambi Lokonga is said to be a target.

Arsenal have apparently made a bid for the Anderlecht midfielder, and are now close to reaching an agreement with the Belgian side.

Busy summer expected

Reports in Italy (Gazzetta) have also suggested that Arsenal are readying an offer for Manuel Locatelli, while they already unsuccessfully made a bid for Emiliano Buendia (Football London), meaning that two Gunners offers seem to have gone in already with more to follow.

It could be a busy summer, with the Gunners seemingly looking to wrap up business early.

And if their plan does come off it appears that Arsenal’s squad could have a very fresh look about it by the first game of next season.

That could be just what the Gunners need, after what was a disappointing campaign this time around.
