Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Flamengo’s Brazilian wonderkid after landing Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal are expected to make a bid for Brazilian wonderkid Reinier Jesus in the very near future, according to Tuttomercatoweb, as The Gunners look to lure one of the world’s most exciting teenagers to The Emirates.
Unai Emery’s side have already agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old winger Gabriel Martinelli from FC Ituano, as reported by Goal, but he is not the only Samba starlet on Arsenal’s radar.
Flamengo’s prized asset Reinier appears to have all the natural talent to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Neymar and co. At 6ft 3ins and blessed with a elegant stride, he has been referred to as a ‘Kaka clone’ (Goal) while modelling his game upon France legend Zinedine Zidane.
Reinier, who has captained Brazil at youth level, has a release clause in his contract worth £60 million – a staggering fee but one that might not put off potential suitors in this post-Vinicius Jr era.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Arsenal are ‘very interested’ and are set to put together a bid for a player who has been linked with pretty much every established giant on the continent.
It seems unlikely that an Arsenal side who failed to qualify for the Champions League can afford to trigger Reinier’s release clause, however, given that their budget barely compares to the likes of Real Madrid, PSG or Manchester City.
