According to RMC Sport, Lyon are already planning to reject Arsenal’s second bid for midfielder Houssem Aouar.

It’s claimed that Arsenal have already had one bid of €36million (£33million) rejected for Aouar, and are coming back with €38million (£35million).

Lyon have seemingly caught wind of that somehow, and are already planning to snub the offer because it remains nowhere near the asking price.

The French side are adamant that Aouar won’t be leaving for less than €50million (£45million), meaning Arsenal have more than £10million to find.

This report also claims that Aouar has not agreed a contract with Arsenal, with a source close to the player claiming the clubs are ‘far from an agreement’.

Aouar isn’t affected by the rumours, and is just focusing on Lyon’s game against Lorient on Sunday afternoon.

The 22-year-old midfielder would bring real guile and creativity to the Arsenal midfield, whilst he chipped in with nine goals and 10 assists last season.

Arsenal may need to sell a couple of players before they can bridge that gap in valuations, with Lyon clearly sticking firm to their lofty asking price.
