The young Dutchman has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
According to a report from Tutto Mercato Web, Arsenal are in contact with AZ Alkmaar to sign their young goalkeeper Jasper Schendelaar.
The 16-year-old is, unsurprisingly, yet to make his debut for the Dutch club but it is being claimed that Arsenal are keen on bringing the player to the Emirates Stadium and look set to do so.

The Netherlands under-17 international has a contract with Alkmaar until the summer of 2019. However TMW claims that with contact already made between the two sides, there is a good chance of the player arriving in London, assumedly next month.
Arsenal have no issue in the goalkeeper department right now, with Petr Cech and David Ospina on their books, and the signing of Schendelaar would be very much for the future.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has made a habit of signing promising young players to be utilised further down the line.
That said, few of those have gone on to make a significant impact in the Arsenal first-team thus far and it will be interesting to see how things ultimately play out for the teenage stopper if he does arrive in North London.
