Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move to sign N’Golo Kante, with Chelsea open to selling their star midfielder this summer.
According to the Daily Star, the Gunners could make an approach for the 31-year-old, with Kante heading into the final year of his contract at Chelsea, with the north London side eager to add to the midfield signing of Fabio Vieira.
The France international is regarded by many as one of the best in his position in world football with Kante a key player for Chelsea since joining from Leicester City in 2016 for a reported £30m, a bargain move that has defined the Premier League and European scene.
Despite his incredible record at Chelsea which includes a Premier League title, a UEFA Champions League winners medal and a PFA Player of the Year award, Kante could leave west London this summer.
Indeed, Chelsea are in the midst of a huge summer of change under new owner Todd Boehly, with Raheem Sterling set to sign for the Blues, and now Kante could make way with Arsenal interested.
With Arsenal looking for more defensive quality in central midfield as per the report, no player in Europe is regarded better than Kante, however, the Gunners should perhaps think twice before making a move to sign the Frenchman.
Arsenal will be making a big gamble if they sign Kante

There’s no denying Kante’s quality. The midfielder is one of the best in Europe and has been a pillar of Chelsea’s success in the past six years. However, the 31-year-old is starting to show fatigue.
Last season saw Kante miss a huge chunk of the campaign through injury, with performances from the Premier League superstar subpar for his standards, and for Arsenal, the Chelsea icon could be a financially risky move for Mikel Arteta’s side.
