Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly interested in West Ham United full-back Ben Johnson.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are interested in signing Ben Johnson from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that West Ham plan to sell Johnson, who has one year left on his current contract and does not want to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Arsenal are taking an interest in the right-back as a back-up option, according to the report.

The Gunners are on the verge of signing England international midfielder Declan Rice from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Could Arsenal be able to sign Ben Johnson from West Ham United?

In our opinion, Arsenal could be able to sign Ben Johnson from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

After all, the Hammers are willing to cash in on the 23-year-old.

If Arsenal are ready to make a good offer, then they could be able to convince the Hammers to sell them the right-back.

Now, of course, Johnson will be fully aware of the competition he will face at Arsenal, but we believe that the English right-back would find it hard to turn down the chance to move to the Gunners.

Johnson made nine starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League and played three games in the FA Cup for West Ham last season.
