Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are competing with Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Graham Potter’s Chelsea for Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to Sport.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United eye Memphis Depay
Sport have reported that Barcelona are willing to cash in on Depay in the January transfer window at the right price.
The former Manchester United forward is also ready to leave Barcelona, but only for another top club.
Sport have added that Arsenal, United and Chelsea all are interested in securing the services of the Netherlands international, although none have made a move yet.
Interestingly, United actually sold Depay to Lyon back in 2017 for £14.75 million (The Guardian).
The 28-year-old was on the books of the Red Devils for two years and failed to make a massive impact.

Should Arsenal make a bid?
In our view, it would not be a bad idea for Arsenal if they signed Memphis Depay from Barcelona, but only for a relatively low transfer fee and if they do not have to pay the Dutchman huge wages.
Yes, Depay struggled at Manchester United, but he has progressed a lot since leaving the Red Devils.
The forward did well at Lyon before earning the move to Barcelona.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and are in the running for the title.
A player of Depay’s quality would enhance Arsenal’s chances of beating defending champions Manchester City to the league title this season.
