Arsenal are about to step up their attempts to sell Calum Chambers and Sokratis, the Telegraph report.
In a major development, Arsenal have apparently won the race to sign Lille defender Gabriel, which means that Mikel Arteta’s side will now have to focus on getting players out.
Arteta’s side don’t have unlimited cash to spend this summer, and any additions they make are going to have to be funded by sales.
With Gabriel costing over £20 million, it seems that his impending arrival will spark a clear out at the Emirates Stadium.
Chambers’s future is now very much in doubt, as is Sokratis’.
Arsenal are thought to want to secure their exits as quickly as possible, with the club to step up their attempts to sell them now.

Chambers signed for Arsenal when Arsene Wenger was in charge in 2014 for £16 million (BBC Sport), while Sokratis joined in 2018 under Unai Emery.
It seems that Arteta has doubts about the pair though, and their stays in North London are set to come to an end.
Sokratis and Chambers have failed to fully convince in the heart of Arsenal’s defence over a number of years, and if they do leave, it is unlikely that the quality of their first-team will be affected much.
