Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are now reportedly confident of getting a deal done for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal have had an offer for Kai Havertz turned down by London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea want £70 million in transfer fees for the Germany international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward.

The report has claimed that Arsenal “are confident Chelsea’s need to sell will force them to accept £60m” for Havertz.

The Guardian have added that the Gunners are willing to match Havertz’s current wages, which are around £220,000 a week.

Could Arsenal sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £60 million?

In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz for £60 million.

Yes, we know that Bayern Munich are interested in the forward, but that would not mean much for Arsenal unless they are willing to pay more than the Gunners for the Germany international.

Would Bayern really pay more than £60 million for the 24-year-old?

The German champions do not always tend to pay massive transfer fees.

Now, it is unlikely that Chelsea would get £70 million for Havertz from any club, but perhaps Arsenal and the Blues could come to a compromise and get a done done for £65 million.
