According to TMW, Arsenal are leading the race for Nabil Fekir, with Liverpool also interested in the attacking player.
Earlier today, Estadio Deportivo reported interest in Fekir from Arsenal and Barcelona, as covered by HITC Sport, and now TMW has claimed that the Gunners are leading the race for the 27-year-old and are in pole position.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Liverpool have checked on the attacking midfielder in recent months.
Good signing for Arsenal?
Fekir is a very versatile footballer who has played as an attacking midfielder, winger, forward and central midfielder for Betis this season.
According to WhoScored, the France international has scored three goals and provided five assists in 25 La Liga games for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this campaign.

Emile Smith Rowe and Martin Odegaard are the two main creative players in the Arsenal team, but the Norway international is only on loan from Real Madrid.
If Odegaard is not at Arsenal next season, then the Gunners would need a replacement, and given Fekir’s experience and quality, he would be a good signing for manager Mikel Arteta, who reportedly admires him.
Back in October 2016, as quoted in FourFourTwo, former Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny compared Fekir to Barcelona star Lionel Messi and said: “Nabil has got huge technical skills. He’s a bit like Messi with his small steps when he runs with the ball in one-on-one.”
