Arsenal are said to be keen on Mislav Orsic, as Mikel Arteta looks at sharpening up his side’s attack for next season.
The Times claim in their printed edition from 26th March (page 66), that Arsenal are now ‘monitoring’ the progress of Orsic, who has impressed with Dinamo Zagreb.
Any Arsenal scouts watching Orsic in the Europa League certainly would have been impressed with his performance.
The absolutely rapid attacker netted a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur, to send Jose Mourinho’s side crashing out.
Those goals took Orsic’s tally to 19 for the season, which eclipses what any Arsenal player has been able to manage this term, including Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Of course, Orsic has been knocking goals in at a lower level than the Premier League, but he does look a real star turn in this Zagreb team.

Dani Olmo has already been plucked from the Croatian side and is now performing well at RB Leipzig, and Arsenal may be hoping that Orsic could be a similar success story.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a nomadic career, but seems to have found a home at Zagreb, which is allowing him to thrive.
Orsic’s main strength is in his pace and dribbling ability, and he would certainly make Arsenal more of a threat on the counter attack if he was to join.
The only question mark remains over his age. Orsic is unlikely to have much re-sale value at this stage of his career, but he could still be a solid short-term option for the Gunners.
