Arsenal are now in talks to sign Isco from Real Madrid, the Telegraph say.
Arsenal are keen to add more creativity to their side in the January transfer window, and Isco has now become one of their top targets.
With finances tight at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners are eyeing up an opportunity to bring the Spaniard in on loan.
The report claims that Arsenal are far from the only interested club, but they may have an advantage as Real Madrid do not want to strengthen a Spanish rival.
Madrid and Arsenal have also already done business recently, with Dani Ceballos coming to North London, so there are good lines of contact between the two sides.

If Isco was to move to Arsenal he would add to the technical ability of their midfield, but he would need to re-find his top form.
The playmaker, who was once hailed as ‘magic’ by Mauricio Pochettino (Marca), has been out of sorts for a considerable amount of time now, but if Arsenal could restore him to his best then he would be a wonderful addition.
At the top of his game Isco is a joy to watch and a major threat to defences because of his ability in possession.
At the moment Arsenal are playing Emile Smith-Rowe in their attacking midfield slot, and the youngster has done an excellent job since stepping into the team to date, and Arteta will surely be keen to ensure he doesn’t block the academy graduate’s progress, even with the signing of Isco being lined up.
