Arsenal are reportedly hopeful that Reiss Nelson will accept a new contract and stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of the season.
According to The Times, Arsenal want Reiss Nelson to put pen to paper on a new deal.
The 23-year-old winger is out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season.
The report had claimed that the youngster has tuned down “Arsenal’s offer of a new contract beyond this summer”.
However, the Gunners have not given up on the prospect of changing the mind of the winger, described as “really powerful and fast” by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in Football.London in December 2022.
The Times have claimed that Arsenal “are hopeful” that Nelson “will sign a short-term deal”.
