West Ham United are reportedly pushing to sign Arsenal striker Lucas Perez.

According to The Mirror, West Ham United are hoping to snap up Arsenal striker Lucas Perez for around £17million, with the Spaniard’s agent allegedly aware of the interest.
Perez, 28, finally found a home with Deportivo La Coruna last season, smashing 17 goals after a nomadic career that had seen him sign Rayo Vallecano, Karpaty Lviv, Dynamo Kiev and PAOK Salonika.
The striker’s goals triggered major interest over the summer, and it was Arsenal who stole in at the last minute to snap him up, paying an alleged £17million to sign him.
Whilst the striker has impressed in spells with seven goals in 21 appearances, the Spanish striker has been something of a misfit at the Emirates Stadium, having failed to be given a regular starting role under Arsene Wenger.
Now, after just nine starts in all competitions – of which only two have come in the Premier League – The Mirror claim that West Ham United are pursuing a deal for Perez, in the hope of landing him this summer.
Slaven Bilic’s men have been desperately pursuing a goalscorer for some time now, and they are allegedly poised to offer Perez a move away from Arsenal, yet also allowing him to stay in London.

It’s stated that, after Arsenal paid £17million for Perez back in August, West Ham are hoping to tie up his signature for a similar price, giving the Gunners the chance to get their money back on a striker who has barely been used by Wenger.
Perez’s agent is allegedly aware of West Ham’s interest, and having become unhappy on the Arsenal training ground due to his lack of first-team football, we could see Perez trade in North London for East London this summer.
