World Cup winner and La Liga champion Samuel Umtiti is heavily tipped to join Premier League giants Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal have made a bid to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti on loan with an option to sign the French centre-back for a fee of £38.5 million, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Umtiti was a World Cup winner with France less than 12 months ago but it seems that he is now facing an uncertain future at club level.
The former Lyon defender has made just 10 appearances in an injury hit season and has fallen behind compatriot Clement Lenglet in the pecking order. And Goal reported last week that Barcelona were willing to listen to offers for Umtiti as the La Liga champions look to finance a deal to sign Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Umtiti since Arsene Wenger’s days at The Emirates and reports in Italy suggest that they have now made an official bid.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Arsenal have launched an offer to sign the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer of 2020 for a fee that could add up to £38.5 million.
This would see Barcelona earn a substantial profit and potentially give Arsenal the commanding centre-half they have needed for years. Umtiti could also potentially reunite with Alexandre Lacazette at The Emirates.
