Arsenal are said to have made contact with the agents of youngster Kaio Jorge, ahead of the summer transfer window.

Calcio Mercato report that Arsenal are keen on signing the Brazilian sensation, who has been showing impressive form with Santos.

Jorge’s contract, which has a £40 million release clause (Forbes), is set to expire in December 2021, which has left his future up in the air.

Arsenal are now among a clutch of clubs who are thought to have let the youngster now that they are keen on him.

The Gunners are believed to be on the hunt for a striker and have already plucked Gabriel Martinelli out of Brazil.

Jorge is more high profile than Martinelli was, but still is a teenager, who is yet to really make a name for himself in Europe.

That has not stopped big comparisons being made in South America, though.

Jorge has been dubbed the ‘New Cristiano Ronaldo’ (Express), due to his power and speed.

He has netted four goals in 29 games for Santos in the league this term.

And if Alexandre Lacazette is to depart, he could present a cheaper and younger alternative to the Frenchman.
