Everton face new competition in the race for Moise Kean.

Moise Kean of Juventus celebrates after scoringhis second goal during the Serie A match between Juventus and Udinese at Allianz Stadium on March 08, 2019 in Turin, Italy.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now pursuing a deal for Juventus striker Moise Kean – but won’t accept a buy-back clause in the deal.

The Gunners are in the market for reinforcements with something of a limited budget, and they have mostly been pursuing a winger.

However, it’s now thought that they have contacted agent Mino Raiola about a deal for Juventus teenager Kean, which doesn’t exactly look straightforward.

It’s believed that Juventus would accept £31million for Kean, but would expect a buy-back clause of £36million in the deal, which Arsenal won’t pay.

Arsenal would allegedly be willing to offer £36million now and remove the buy-back, but the problem for them is that Everton want Kean and are in fact willing to accept those terms.

The Gunners seemingly won’t match Everton’s stance, which may actually be sensible, as it becomes something of a loan deal for the sake of bringing in £5million, which doesn’t seem all that appealing.

Kean himself is a huge talent. The 19-year-old hit six goals in 13 games for Juventus last season, but finds himself down the pecking order ahead of the new season.

Kean has huge potential, but with a buy-back clause, the buying club wouldn’t really get to experience that. They’d ultimately be developing him for Juventus without making a huge profit, hence Arsenal’s stance.

Add in that Arsenal already have Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang, and spending vital funds on another striker doesn’t seem wise – potentially leaving Everton at the front of the queue.
